what a day

well my day yesterday was a good one. I decieded to go another way to Pahrump with the help from Kyle (my son). As we got to Death Valley Junction we saw a big bird in the road, so we had to go and check it out. Luckily I had the camera with me. This Peacock came running to the car on the passengers side. My son did not know what to do, every time he put his window down the bird kept trying to look in? so it scared Kyle, here I was trying to get it to come to me. I finely got into the car and he came to my side looking for a hand out. I only had a granola bar, so I feed it to him and all his girlfriends came out of the bushes wanting theres. It was so cute and funny to watch Kyles expression on his face. It goes to show what gifts God gives to us. The beauty of these birds, that live in a harsh environments. As we got to Pahrump to watch Danielle play basketball, they lost both games. But the season is just starting so they still have time to improve. Today (Sunday) was a day spent at the grave yard visiting my Mom and inlaws. Funny about small towns, you know most of the people in the grave yard and as you go by to pay your respects you find yourself in a chuckle with the memories you had with that person. Its only been since June when Mom passed. Its hard when you were a mom ma's baby. Someday I will be with her again. Amen!!!!

Love your bird story!! What a fun memory that will make. So nice to meet you on my blog. Sorry you've lost your mom, but, like you say, you will see her again--a wonderful reunion to look forward to! Stop by and see me often.

What a fun experience. Birds out in the middle of the road looking for a handout.I love small town cemetery, specially the real old ones. We have two near us dating back to the 1800's which is when this area was settles. Late 1800s. On one old farm there is a small one with six headstones. The one I can read says a Joseph ,,,,..died in 1871. Probably a family site. MB

Be lucky those birds dont live by your house. I had some by mine in CA and they're loud! Everytime they see something they start crowing, even in the middle of the night :(
