History lesson

Well if you want to call it that. When people think of Nevada they tend to think that its all desert and hot. Well I have lived here for most of my life and I can say its not all that. Yes there is alot of desert in Nevada and yes its hot here in Summer. Nevada has the most mountain ranges in the country. Nevada tallest peak is over 13,000 feet tall. More gold comes out of Nevada then anywhere else in this country. I have seem some beautiful country and have to tell myself that I am still in Nevada. Here are just a few pictures of Nevada and some history. When I read the historical markers along side of the road and it saids they mined over 9 million in ore back in 1890- and 1900, well where did all that money go? That was alot of money back then. Enjoy your Wednesday and soon the weekend will be here. Danielle has a volleyball game in Trona, California. Thats about 110 miles from here going through the heart of Death Valley.

Beautiful pictures, Allison. I haven't been out West since I was a child. I seeing it through your eyes! Are your temps cooler? We are still hot, though not 100s! Guess fall will be here soon enough. Have a great week.

I love reading about your history out there and seeing pictures of a part of our country that I've never been to. Thank you!

Hi alison, thanks for thinking about me. I am OK. I guess. Everything keeps rolling along and I keep playing catch up. But I am ok. MB
